Who Can Update to iOS 13.2 and iPadOS 13.2?
Beginning with iOS 13, there are different operating systems for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad.
iOS 13.2
The iOS 13.2 update is compatible with the recently released iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max. Additionally, you can install the update on the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE, and iPod touch (7th generation).
iPadOS 13.2
Meanwhile, iPadOS 13.2 is available for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, 11-inch iPad Pro, 10.5-inch iPad Pro, 9.7-inch iPad Pro, iPad (7th generation), iPad (6th generation), iPad (5th generation), iPad mini (5th generation), iPad mini 4, iPad Air (3rd generation), and iPad Air 2.
New Features
Camera
Deep Fusion is a new camera feature that works exclusively with the A13 Bionic Neural Engine found on the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max. It lets you capture multiple images at different exposures using a pixel-by-pixel analysis. In doing so, the best parts of each image are fused to create one great masterpiece. Those same users can also now change video resolution from the Camera app, rather than the Settings.
Emoji
Both iOS 13.2 and iPad 13.2 include 70 new and updated emoji. These include new takes on animals, food, activities, and more.
Siri
For the first time, you can decide whether Apple is allowed to store the audio of your Siri and Dictation interactions. You can also delete Siri and Dictation history from the Siri Settings on your device.
Home App
The Home App now includes support for HomeKit Secure Camera and HomeKit enabled routers.
Apple AirPods Pro
On the same day Apple released iOS 13.2, the company revealed the AirPods Pro, which officially launches on Oct. 30.
Back Up and Install iOS 13.2
The update is available now and you can get it by heading to Settings > General > Software Update. Make sure to create a back up your iPhone or iPad by heading to Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > iCloud Backup > Backup Now. Or, create a backup through iTunes or a third-party app to your so you have a locally archived copy just in case.
